The X-Ray Chassis for the Remington 700SA is a modular rifle stock used for precision shooting and provides unprecedented value to the shooter. It is a “drop-in” fit for the Remington 700SA with no gunsmithing and no bedding required. The X-Ray is a hybrid design made from aluminum and reinforced polymer. This hybridization yields a chassis that is nearly the lightest available and is half the weight of some others.
It features adjustable ergonomics and an aluminum “V” bedding system for premium accuracy. The checkpiece height (quick adjust), checkpiece position, Buttpad height, and length of pull (with spacers) are all customizable. The end result is a chassis with a tailored ergonomic fit the is second to none.
In addition, the chassis accepts AICS magazines with no floorplate purchase needed and accommodates all but the heaviest straight cylinder barrels. Most aftermarket recoil lug and triggers will also fit.
The chassis inlcudes three, 3/8" spacers to add up to 1 1/8" to the length of pull. Brownells also offers KRG's LOP Spacer Set with three additional 3/8" spacers. Between the supplied spacers and the opptional LOP Spacer Set the X-Ray chassis' length of pull is adjustable in 3/8" increments from 12.8" to 15".
